This weeks theme is one of my favorites. I learned most of what I know about photography through black and white film. I loved everything about the black and white process. From the rolling of my own film to the hours spent in the darkroom processing it and creating the perfect print. Unfortunately my darkroom is now used more as a closet to store my equipment and props then a place to create.
Through it's ease of use and the endless creative control, digital photography has made the process obsolete. What once took hours in a darkroom can now only take minutes with photoshop.
For this weeks picture I decided to use a photo from my daughter's dance recital. Dance is a big part of her life, and it amazes me every time I get to watch. The students at John Hayes O'Neill School of Dance work so hard for every show and it truly is remarkable what their teachers bring out in them.
