This winter has been one for the history books. February brought with it record cold temperatures and lots of snow. As most Upstate New Yorkers, I am happy to see spring creeping around the corner. I look forward to feeling the sun on my face and walking out my front door without a bundle of clothes on. But I have to say, a part of me will miss the beauty this past winter brought with it.
I haven't seen snow and cold like this since my childhood. There is something to say about the silence that winter brings with it. The miles of winter white that stretch out before you when driving through the country, or the sound of trees snapping from the cold in the woods.
