Summer is just flying by and I've been enjoying every minute of it. I love having my daughter home everyday, the extra time off from work, and lazy days at the beach and near the pool. With all the fun going on and trips away, I haven't found much time to sit in front of the computer and compose my weekly post. So today is catch-up and I'll give a glimpse into our summer days.
Week 28th's theme couldn't have come at a better time. This week landed on our yearly trip to the Sterling Renaissance Festival. This is a favorite of my daughter's. She loves dressing in her peasant costume and stepping back into a time when princesses and knights reigned.
The colors are one of the best parts of the festival. Click on any the images to explore my gallery of this year and years past visits.
Week 29th's theme fit into an evening of crafting. I was adding some new items to my Etsy Shop and replenishing my stock at Humming Bird Kreations, so I decided to photograph some of the elastic I use for making hair ties.
Freelensing is when you remove the lens on your camera and hold it in front of the camera. This allows light to leak in. If you tilt the lens you can control the sharpness and blur. The effect can be magical at times.
When I think of summer treats only one word pops into mind..."Ocean".
The closest ocean beach to us is about five hours away so to sink our toes into that salty shore is truly a treat.
This photo hides a second treat as it was taken in Long Island while visiting family. What is sweeter then the sun, the sea and being with loved ones?
