This week was filled with yard work and warmer temperatures. Delta Lake State Park, Rome NY It truly feels like spring has finally come to stay. My daughter and I took our first spring walk along the beach. This is something we do every year. The ice breaking up on the surface is one of our favorite things about spring. There is something magical about walking barefoot through the sand along the edge of broken ice.
What finally convinced me that spring was finally here was the arrival of my little jewels that came up in my garden. I treasure these little sprouts above all others as they are the first to poke their heads up at winters end.
A flower's appeal is in its contradictions — so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect. ~Terri Guillemets
